Batman: The Caped Crusader (The Hit Squad)
In short, the spankiest comic conversion since Dan Dare and a des res in barg city.
Dick Tracy (Titus)
Very bad punch-'n'-shoot-'em-up - a dreadful waste of a good licence.
Out-of-the-ordinary shoot-and-puncher that should have been better. It doesn't offer that much to do.
Hawk Storm (Players)
The scrolling is jerky, but it's a small price to pay for something as refreshing, complex and enjoyable as this.
Huxley Pig (Alternative)
The biggest flaw in the whole thing has to be that Huxley moves so damn slowly.
Into The Mystic (River Software)
The author's an old hand now at writing adventures, and comes up with some new, intriguing problems. I like the building whose door you have to unlock, except that the key to the door is inside the building!
Last Duel (Kixx)
One of those games that tried something a bit new, but failed miserably at the end of the day. All that Last Duel deserves is the Last Post.
The Light Corridor (Infogrames)
Not at all easy squash-like affair, with really good game-maker. Well worth wasting some time on!
A pleasantly approachable puzzle game, but nothing more.
Multi-Player Soccer Manager (D&H Games)
A management game, but good fun nevertheless. Give it go - you might be surprised.
Narco Police (Dinamic)
A 'strategy' shoot-'em-up with good looks and brains too!
Rambo III (The Hit Squad)
It's not bad, it's just not good. It all boils down to unending map-manipulate-massacre, and interest drops more sharply than a guillotine blade.
Rugby Coach (Cult Games)
Lots of pleasing touches add up to an absorbing and engrossing game.
Star Control (Accolade)
A bit of a split personality, this one. The strategy bit is a trifle limited, but the combat stuff's brill.
Thunder Blade (Kixx)
The difficulty is pitched just right... You'll probably be playing quite a long time as it's quite easy to progress and pretty damned addictive with it.
Toyota Celica GT Rally (Gremlin Graphics)
A very smart little racing game - handsome to look at, fun to drive and fast, fast, fast!
Turbo Kart Racer (Players)
I found the game utterly boring after one or two goes and had no desire to play it ever again. In fact, I was wishing I hadn't wasted two minutes playing it already.
There are loads of levels but all that means is different backdrops and different looking baddies. The gameplay is similar all the way through.
It's clever, logical and fast, but looks a bit naff. Still, if you like puzzle games, you'll go a bundle.
