Super Spy ========= A Modern History Simulation Super Spy consists of four programs, one on each side of the two cassettes. It has two parts: Training and Mission. Training consists of briefings - learning selected facts about wartime Britain - alternating with exciting practical tests of spy skills - an assault course, a parachute course, a cipher course and a shooting range. Your mission is to land safely in Britain, gather a secret message alter successfully passing a series of tests and deliver it safely to London within ten days. Part 1 ~~~~~~ The Assault Course ------------------ Spy starts with a gruelling assault course. Your man must jump over and duck under a number of obstacles. Arrow Right - Stand Up, Arrow Up - Jump, Arrow Down - Duck Remember your man must be upright before he can jump over an obstacle. After the assault course, you will gain a code letter vital to your mission. Briefing -------- You will now be briefed on vital facts about Wartime Britain and will be required to answer the simple questions that follow. Proceed through the briefing by hitting the C button or space bar as required. If you wish to re-read any of your briefing, hit the B button or 9 button as requested. The briefing ends with ten short questions and you must get at least five correct to carry on to the Parachute Course. Parachute Course ---------------- An aeroplane drops a parachute, and you must direct it safely down onto the target by using the left and right arrow keys to guide it. You have got to make ten jumps and if successful, you will gain another code letter vital for your mission. Part 2 ~~~~~~ Briefing 2 ---------- More briefings on Wartime Britain. Again you must get at least five questions correct at the end of the briefing to carry on with your mission. Cipher Course ------------- You must crack ten codes which are anagrams of words used in Wartime Britain. Type in the word followed by ENTER. If you fail to crack the code you will be blown up. If you are successful, you will gain another code letter for your mission. Part 3 ~~~~~~ Briefing 3 ---------- Your last briefing before you start on your mission. You must answer at least five of the questions correctly to reach the Shooting Range and your Mission. Shooting Range -------------- A target appears in a random position. Use the four arrow keys to guide your gun sights. Hit ENTER to fire. You will be given ten shots after which you gain another code letter for your Mission. Secret Mission -------------- Congratulations. You now enter the last and most dangerous part of your mission. The information you have acquired during your briefings and your code letters will play an important part of your Secret Mission. Type in your code letter and quickly note the secret message. Now you must try and deliver it. Type in telephone numbers and colour codes when required. Remember to hit ENTER after typing each piece of information. On your journey through Britain you will meet hazards that you will have to overcome to carry on with your mission. You will be shown a map and you must type in the road number and direction, i.e. A82S. Remember, you are forced to use A roads, as motorways were not built in Britain until 1959. If you hit a road block, type STAY if you want to remain in the town. If you run out of time, gamble for more. Good luck!
