Snare (Thalamus) (Commodore 64/128)
A fascinating and extremely addictive arcade/puzzle game.
Retrograde (Thalamus) (Commodore 64/128)
A classic C64 shoot-'em-up - don't miss it!
Moonwalker (US Gold) (Commodore 64)
Acceptable yesteryear gameplay for Jacko fans.
Operation Thunderbolt (Ocean) (Commodore 64/128)
The more you play it, the better it gets and boy, is there a challenge in this game!
Ghouls 'N Ghosts (US Gold) (Commodore 64/128)
An incredibly well-designed game gets the superbrill Software Creations C64 treatment.
Double Dragon II (Virgin) (Commodore 64)
A very classy conversion of a mediocre coin-op.
Indy: The Graphic Adventure (Lucasfilm/US Gold) (Amiga 500)
Humour isn't quite up to the standard of Zak McKraken, but this is still an essential purchase for fans of the movie, and most adventurers as well.
Hyper Sports (The Hit Squad) (Commodore 64/128)
Graphically and sonically superb, with lots of great touches copied from the Konami arcade game, this is the sports sim which even people who hate this type of game will love.
Barbarian (Kixx) (Commodore 64/128)
Plenty of hack 'n slay fun on offer... and there's lots more playability when decapitating a friend!
Auf Wiedersehen Monty (Kixx) (Commodore 64/128)
Overly difficult and dated as it is, this might still deserve a look if you feel nostalgic.
Ninja Warriors (Sales Curve/Virgin) (Commodore 64)
A top notch conversion of a somewhat unoriginal coin-op.
F-29 Retaliator (Ocean) (Amiga 500)
Ocean's first flight sim is the best out, and an incredibly fun game!
Dragon Spirit (Tengen/Domark) (Commodore 64)
Lousy to look at, and awful to play too.
Pictionary (Domark) (Amiga 500)
Good family fun. Lots of fun with friends.
Power Drift (Activision) (Amiga 500)
Masses of (admittedly excellent) graphics are flung left or right at a considerable rate and occasionally you're left trying to follow a road that's disappeared in the collage of graphics hurtling toward you.
Wicked (Electric Dreams) (Commodore 64/128)
An original, and extremely playable arcade game.
Strider (US Gold) (Commodore 64/128)
High difficulty level does not make a good impression. Persistence gets you further, but it's not all that enjoyable.
Eye Of Horus (Logotron) (Commodore 64)
An intriguing arcade-adventure.
Twin World (Ubisoft) (Amiga 500)
Initially primitive looking but surprisingly playable.
Ghostbusters II (Activision) (Amiga 500)
Irritating disk-access and 16-bit presentation of a very 8-bit game... Each section is playable enough, but even with the inter-level sequences, they don't really gel into a good game.
Turbo Out Run (US Gold) (Amiga 500)
Another extremely playable US Gold coin-op conversion.
Sim City (Infogrames) (Amiga 500)
An utterly compelling game no Amiga owner should miss!
