This riddle is the first clue to this witty text adventure game. You must navigate through, and survive, a series of events and puzzles to locate first the sunken ship and then the treasure. This adventure is programmed with a sense of humour to add to your enjoyment.
Pirates Ahoy recognises twenty verbs, 63 nouns and contains 83 locations. You are able to look NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, WEST, UP and DOWN to view your next location (unless it is obscured by fog, etc). You may also look at each time you encounter. Some items so viewed contain hints on further actions, while others contain humorous captions. Five of the seven treasures have their locations randomised at the start of each game. The time you may spend underwater without surfacing is limited to 36 minutes in real time.
