Killapede

The killapede and a whole gang of creepy crawlies are out to get you. Dodge the fleas and the spiders from Mars to shoot at the multi-segmented beast. You must be quick though, as a fate of almost certain death awaits you.

Object Of The Game

Destroy the killapede with your poisoned knives. Hitting a body section splits the killapede into two. Thus there will be two heads. Hitting a head scores double.

The killapede will make his way down the screen by moving left and right, dropping down a line each time it meets a mushroom or edge of the screen.

Mushrooms may be shot away by hitting it with four knives.

Should a Killapede the reach the base of the screen a Ghost will appear at the top of the screen and come towards you, the only way to survive is to destroy the Killapede.

Other Nasties

Fleas will drop down the screen leaving trails of mushrooms.

Snails will run across the screen changing the colour of any mushrooms it comes in contact with. If the Killapede hits one of these mushrooms it will descend immediately to the bottom of the screen.

A spider will bounce across the screen and you must be careful to avoid it.

An ant will dash across the screen in pursuit of you. Be careful to avoid it.

All the above may be shot and score different amounts.

A bonus life is awarded every 10,000 points scored.

Special Bonus

Very occasionally a large butterfly (four different ones) will fly across, hitting it will score a special bonus.

Move your Dynamic Debugging Thing (D.D.T.) around the lower half of the screen with the controls that you have defined.

Press Fire to throw knives.

On achieving a High Score you will be invited to enter your name for the Killapede High of Fame. Use your contros to position the marker over each letter and press Fire. When you have entered your name, select END.

Select DEL to delete any mistakes.

Game Controls

After loading press ESCAPE to redefine your playing keys/joystick.

To redefine press the appropriate key when indicated on the screen i.e. When the knife moves press the key for Fire.

When the left arrow moves press the key for left, or push the joystick left.

From the main title screen it will enter demo mode after the scrolling message has run out.

Press the Fire button once you have chosen to begin the game.
