At last a chess program at a realistic price.
Written entirely in machine code, with hi res display of board and pieces.
There are eight selectable levels of skill. The cursor is used to move the pieces so there are no numbers/letters to enter.
Supports Castling and En Passant.
Specific pieces may be set up to solve chess problems.
A move may be taken back (only allowed before the computer makes its next move).
Facility for the computer to play itself.
No joysticks required.
Note: There is a delay loop in the keyboard routine which makes it necessary to press all keys up and down slowly.
Use the arrow keys to position the cursor on the required piece, then press ENTER. The square will flash. If not, press ENTER until it does. Now, move the cursor to the required position and press ENTER again.
The piece will move, assuming the move is legal.
Position the cursor on the King and press ENTER. Move to the desired location and press ENTER again.
When an opposing pawn is making its first move and advances two squares to draw alongside your pawn, you can capture by moving your pawn diagonally.
You may change or add a piece with the E key.

The program starts on level 1. This is the lowest level (shown top right of screen).
