The large playing area will certainly provide a lasting challenge, but you may find the lack of variety in the gameplay rather tedious.
Connect Four on a slant... An idea that didn't work... The controls confuse you a lot.
If you want a shoot-'em-up with a minor amount of strategy in finding your enemy, this is a reasonable option.
Whoever wrote the instructions nearly turned a decent game into a disaster area. Once you've found out what you're doing, it's quite interesting but you may get frustrated long before that.
Colourful, well-designed sprites and a good combination of old and original ideas... Did we mention it was cute too?
It's reasonably well-implemented and will provide quite a test but there didn't seem much to get excited about.
The worst sort of game - boring and in bad taste. Gremlin will take so much flak for this one that they'll need their own bulletproof vests.
I enjoyed the mixture of shoot-'em-up, exploring and puzzling, although it's quite tough.
It doesn't offer anything new to the shoot-'em-up field but it's slickly produced and has plenty of long lasting enjoyment to offer.
A massive playing area, difficult task, easy and quick manoeuvring, make this game appealing to everybody.
Four completely different games to play. If you're looking for something to spend rainy days with then you could do a lot worse than this.
Championship Basketball (Gamestar/Activision)
If you're desperate for a basketball game, it could be worse. Action is too slow to make it exciting.
A very well-crafted combat game that has lots of variety, great graphics and a terrific challenge.
Repetitiveness may cause loss of interest, but it's a great two player game.
Again graphic excellence from Dinamic, but the gameplay disappoints slightly.
Gets more difficult as you collect the eyes... but you may not be bothered to get that far.
Tends to be repetitive, though it's easy to play -just trundle around, picking up rubbish.
Baseball (Gamestar/Activision)
Simple to play but gets tedious after a while, and Hardball is better.
The Magic Cottage (Stuart Lockey)
Good graphics, and the advantage of a very individual flavour.
The Last Believer (Goat Man Games)
The puzzles are well thought-out and quite challenging, though you shouldn't find casual exploration a problem.
