Too Weird Electron

Published in EUG #22

I have discovered a really strange bug/effect on the Electron. If you type (at the > prompt) a random string of numbers separated by commas (for example 5,9,2,6,4, etc), fill up the six lines then press (RETURN) the computer will change the screen mode (usually to Mode 4), makes a beeping noise and switch the cassette motor on. Anyone know why this happens?

Whoa, weird! On mine, when I pressed RETURN the machine beeped, turned on the cassette and locked up - after printing a corrupted cursor. I've never seen anything like it before!
