Remember MRM? They released such classics as Castle Assault and Nightmare Maze before being bought by CDS. Here is a game of theirs which never made it onto cassette.

You control a wizard who may be moved left and right along the bottom of the screen. In the middle, there is a tower made of bricks. For some unpredictable reason, blue birds flap their way across to this tower and take away the bricks. Your task is to stop this unforgivable behaviour by shooting them. However, your task is hindered by a mole which flies along the bottom. This must of course be avoided by casting a spell in order to metamorphosise yourself into a frog.

Quite pretty, though not a patch on Diamond Mine or Harvey Headbanger.
