What can I say about a game as clever, yet as specialist as this one? This is a 'game' which you might buy on impulse but it has been written by a cricket lover and is obviously meant for other cricket lovers. In fact one might argue that this is a simulation of the game.

The reasons for saying this are numerous and varied. You can choose your own team and are asked to rate each in batting and bowling skills. Alternatively you can accept one of the inbuilt teams and take the players' skills as given.

You can also select the skill level from Village Green, County and Test Match and the game reacts accordingly.

The really remarkable feature is the excellent graphical representation of the wicket, which shows the bowler's run up and the batter's stroke in fantastic detail. The pitch can be shown from a bird's eye-view and the fielders moved as desired. All control is from the joystick and is fairly responsive though needs practice. An exceptional game which will thrill the fanatics and others.
