For his Super Test, Daley Thompson has diversified into eight new events, divided into two days of competition - only one day can be loaded at a time.

In rowing, cycling and tug-o-war nothing more than strenuous joystick action - or keyboard bashing - is needed. The penally shooting and skijump require both joystick waggling and careful timing, if you're to avoid suffering a limb-breaking fallon the skijump, or you could waste your penalty by ballooning the shot over the bar. Fortunately, the keys can be re-defined, so that you can even out the keyboard wear.

In pistol shooting one of six targets will appear for a short time and you have a sight to guide towards it, but you can't retrace your steps. A close up of the target shows the position of your shots - very useful since the sight is slightly misaligned.

Take off, number of somersaults, dive finish and overall grace are marked by four judges in the spring board diving. The dive's height depends on the timing of the jump while continuous left/right movement makes you somersault.

For the ski slalom you must strike a delicate balance between going fast enough to qualify and going slow enough to manoeuvre between the poles. You have three lives, a life is lost every time you fail to qualify - the qualifying targets get harder each time round.

Smooth action and good graphics make this game great fun - if you and your computer can stand the strain!
