Forget the full-page colour ads! Forget the hype describing the wonders of this (outdated) arcade conversion! Forget the excellent games that US Gold has lavished upon us! This is, not to put too fine a point on it, a lemon...

You may recall a couple of years back a whole series of games released by MRM, such as Nightmare Maze and Castle Of Gems - now mostly re-released by Blue Ribbon. Nothing outstanding. Mostly recognisable by solid bases and a block drawing technique.

This game is like the final death-throw of that series - a castle composed of steps, slopes and lifts must be cleared of crystals by our hero before the baddies catch him. Wow!

Back in the arcades it may have been a smash: as the inspiration for some of those MRM games it may have had a use; now it just seems like an anachronistic embarrassment that does the reputation of US Gold no good at all.

To promote it as a "limited edition" with an inflated price is to merely add insult to boredom.
