This one-on-one fighting game ranked #5 at the Mixed Game Competition during Revision 2019.

One player can take on a “sparring” computer, otherwise it was designed for two players with the option of a time limit or fighting until one player runs out of energy. There are multiple backgrounds (eight to choose from, or a random level select) and some nice demo-style presentation touches. The actual gameplay is quite limited however, with only a small number of fighting moves.

It can also be quite difficult to tell when a hit has been made. The large size of the fighters is different, but they have been created by “wiring” (converting) graphics from a famous game. That being said, the sprite is only that of a single fighter, shown in different colours.1337 Karate looks fabulous, but unfortunately is very disappointing to play.
