We didn't get the game in, but we did find this blog.
Zoo Tycoon

I inherited my grandfather's zoo today, along with a lot of money. I don't know why he ordered all the animals be killed and sold for meat when he died, but that just means I'll have to find some animals to attract customers. Here's to today...
forget about the dirty looks
the photographs your boyfriend took
you said you'd read me like a book
but the pages are all torn and frayed

The animals I bought came in yesterday, and I didn't know they would be so ugly! They all move stiffly, and are all sharp and blocky. Shocked at this, I looked at the ground. For the first time, I noticed how gaudy it was...it's all bright, poorly painted tile. I can't stand to look at this place, but apparently the customers can...because they wont' stop coming in now.
They must be idiots.

My zoo is perfect...but when I try to make an addition, someone yells at me and my profits go down.
I wish I could be creative. :(
the street is not mine
just the stop sign

I'm so bored, I started watching people on the security cameras...and this happened today.
A single child was walking with his mother. His mother takes a turn, walks into the gift shop, and leaves him behind. A stranger walks up, and the little boy follows. The mother walks out, then goes straight for the exit. The child walks around slowly in an ape-like walk the people have adopted, wandering aimlessly. I feel like helping him, but he shies away from anyone. Maybe he'll leave.

Still nothing to do around here, but I've gotten a couple of trophies and cash prizes for running a clean zoo. The little boy is still running around, but the zookeepers can't find him now. We suspect he's living among the tigers, as their food supply is going quicker than usual these days.

The boy was spotted riding a tiger around today. A zookeeper tried getting him away, but the tigers are very protective. Oh well.

Between the customers loving the horrible zoo I've inherited and the story of the little boy, I lost all faith in humanity today. I've contracted out labor to build a 20 foot pit at the entrance, hopefully that will deter our visitors for a while and let me retire this place permanently.

Customer satisfaction, as well as customer deaths, have skyrocketed since the death pit was built. I...I don't know about these people.
spill on me your nostalgia
and cataracts...
that fell
behind self-conscious eyes.

Yesterday I found out that I can change land as I will, so I changed everything to water. People are now walking on water.
I'm going to go pray, and cry.

I was just told that the zoo has an interested buyer. I sold immediately, for cash money. Thank god I can leave this boring crap behind. The stifling environment, the ugly visuals, the long and soul-eating days...Thank you. I don't ever want to go back to that again.
