Instructions

The Dark Pit | Game Objective | Game Controls

Game Objective

The object of the game is to escape from the Dark Pit, a maze consisting of 64 complex rooms. In the Dark Pit, there are locks of various colours that will need to be opened. This is done automatically if you have the right key! The first weapon you will find is the shotgun (No. 2 on the keyboard). The shotgun uses cartridges which are found in groups of 5. All other weapons and the shield use power - this is collected in the form of lightning bolts.

Displayed at the bottom of the screen are:

  1. Your score
  2. Your power level
  3. The number of shotgun cartridges
  4. The number of men you have
  5. The number of keys you have
  6. The number of weapons being carried, and
  7. The weapon in your hand

Game Controls

Use a joystick plugged into the right joystick port to control your man.
Use keys 1-6 to select a weapon. Use 0 to disarm. (Alternatively, use the Tandy Electronic Book for weapon selection. It must be connected to the left joystick port.)
